The Data Networks Operations team is responsible for managing and supporting our client's local and wide area networks, as well as the associated infrastructure and systems. By addressing emerging operational needs, identifying and resolving root causes of issues, and collaborating with both internal teams and external vendors, the team plays a key role in helping us achieve our objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the development of long-term systems plans and manage their implementation. Ensure thorough research is conducted, evaluate alternatives, and select optimal solutions.
- Manage a team of 10-12
- Assess and implement third-party applications. Negotiate licensing agreements and maintenance costs. Establish service level agreements (SLAs) and manage vendor relationships.
- Supervise the planning, organization, assignment, and oversight of departmental work activities.
- Cross-train and develop staff skills, including succession planning. Oversee hiring, training, and provide performance feedback.
- Review and approve preliminary surveys, proposed modifications, design specifications, time and cost estimates, and documentation. Ensure formal reviews of new or revised systems are conducted before implementation.
